For many of our products, the warranty terms extend beyond the standard one year. For instance, most of our in-house brand instruments and higher-end instruments come with a lifetime structural warranty. Additionally, for certain products, we provide the option to purchase extended warranty services to safeguard your investment. Below is a list of applicable warranties and their terms:

Warranty Claim Procedure
To report a warranty claim, please send us an email at support@fiddlershop.com. Please provide us with the order number and describe the issue you are having in detail. Attach any images of potential damage or malfunctioning. If you want guidance throughout the process, email us with support@viotune.com.
We will follow up and try to address your claim as soon as possible after your initial contact with us. We always strive to offer the best customer service, and we take pride in our reputation.
45 Day Satisfaction Guarantee
If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, then neither are we. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return it in its original condition within the return period and we’ll give you a full refund of the purchase amount. At Viotune we offer a 45-day satisfaction guarantee on all purchases. Please read our full return policy here.
If you receive an item that is broken or has a manufacturer’s defect, we will fix, replace or credit you for the item(s) free of charge. Please call us within 14 days of receiving your item(s) for these claims.
Standard One Year Warranty
Most of the products we carry come with a standard one year warranty. This warranty is valid for one year from the time the item(s) is received, and covers defects in components and workmanship. We honor this warranty by repairing or replacing the item at no extra cost.
This warranty excludes all consequential damages, and does not cover damages resulting from accident, misuse, normal wear and tear, or tampering.
Please note that strings, bow hair, rosin, pads, and other parts or accessories are all subject to normal wear and the warranty is therefore limited.
Extended Warranty Service
Viotune’s extended warranty service is designed to offer a higher level of protection than our standard one year warranty, or warranties offered by other manufacturers. This service is bought together with the product at the time of purchase, or within the first 45 days.
Our extended warranty simply extends the standard one year warranty for an additional X years, and begins at the end of the one year warranty. The same coverage, terms, and conditions outlined in the one year warranty still apply.
We offer this service on select instruments and accessories. Look for the extended warranty information on qualifying products.
Lifetime Structural Warranty
Viotune offers a lifetime structural warranty on many of our in-house brand instruments, as well as select other instruments. The lifetime structural warranty covers any problems that may occur with the structure of the instrument itself. It also covers the structure of the fittings. We have yet to see or hear of any other workshop who offers anything similar!
Please keep in mind that the instrument setup is something that needs to be maintained, much like your car needing an oil-change. Fiddlershop guarantees that the setup arrives at your doorstep in perfect condition, but this warranty does not cover maintenance.
If any of the products break due to misuse, this is not covered under our warranty. Fiddlershop will assess each instrument submitted under the structural warranty and make the decision as to whether it's covered or not, according to what defines naturally occurring structural damage. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways for any repairs or adjustments needed.
Special Warranties
Bow Warranty
All of the bows come with our incredible Holstein Bow Warranty. Within the first year of purchase, we will repair or replace the bow if it becomes damaged and is no longer functional. We know that a bow can be fragile, and we hope that this extended bow warranty gives you complete peace of mind when you are shopping with us!
What's Covered?
Apart from other warranties, the Bow Warranty will cover damages resulting from unexpected accidents. Examples of what's covered: broken stick, winding that falls apart, end screw malfunctioning, tip block falls out, severe warping, etc. Examples of what's not covered: re-hairs, grip material, cosmetic dings/scratches/chips, tip replacements, loss or theft.
